Memorial Day Weekend

Hello everyone!!
It's been a week or so since we posted, so I thought I'd update how things are going here in the Gibbs house. And to put it simply, GREAT! Little Grey amazes us everyday, and no matter how tired or drained Leigh and I are, we instantly get recharged when we get a smile or even better, a belly laugh out of him!!! It's funny how the outlook of an entire day can be flipped by the simplest of things...a smile.

So we all had a day off this Monday and celebrated by hanging with the family on uncle Jake's boat. Leigh and I were both a little nervous about taking him on the boat with a bunch of his rambunctious cousins, but we thought if he had all the proper boating attire, he'd be good to go! (see picture) :) Turns out grey, and his mom and dad had a pretty nice time on the lake!

love

These shots are GREAT! When Dave and I have kids, we're totally going to have to hire you as a photographer, Andy. Love the life jacket shot!

Grey looks so cute! Its so much fun seeing him grow and catching glimpses of new personality coming out of him. :) Each day brings out a new side of our boys. Jet opening his eyes was like seeing a whole new baby! Its so amazing. I am still wanting to email you sometime. I have questions and can't help but want somebody to compare notes with and say "yes, I know what you mean." Maybe sometime when my brain slows down enough to think. lol. Take care! - Joanna

He's getting so big! Reading about your first SB visit reminded me of our own. I was so afraid of what they were going to tell me. I have to remind myself that prognosis is only a guess, and she's changed and been upgraded at her last 2 appts. We are only able to see the Ped and physical therapist at our SB clinic. Neuro is 2 hours away, and the urologist is too busy. Go figure. :)

I wanted to say thank you for putting this wonderful blog. When I was on my lowest point, I found this blog by accident and was so inspired by how you & your husband were handling the diagnosis of your baby. I too have a now 7 mo old boy, L2,shunt,braces just like Greyson. When I read that you started running (Greyson being your inspiration), I started running again, when I read that you already started PT, I went full swing too, when I saw how you show Greyson to the world, I slowly came out of my shell etc....thank you so very very much for giving me a jumpstart even though you had no idea...I guess there are no accident in life, huh?
